Mireille was recruited into the Cameroon Radio Television in 1999. For over 2 decades, she has inspired many young people to become great journalists.

Mireille Lambo has been the presenter of the 1 PM news, anchor of the 3PM news on Crtv’s national station and the 7:30 PM TV news presenter for over a decade.

Its said, Mireille took ill last thursday and was rushed to hospital. Barely 5 days later she went into a coma which lasted barely a few minutes then she passed on at the Yaounde Central Hospital (CHU Yaounde).

Her colleagues of the CRTV and other media are yet to come to terms with her sudden departure.

Close friends have since been sending in tributes to the late Mireille Lambo. Her co-worker Ayi Mbile wrote :

“ Mimi my Sister was an extraordinary person. Never would she say anything bad about anyone. Never ! An unfading beauty of a gentle, caring and quiet spirit she was and remains forever. A pearl so precious, I always wondered whether she was real. Weahhhhhhh Mimi, you were indeed. Rest In Peace”.
