Celebrity scams are everywhere. A good number of famous faces have found themselves involved with some of the biggest scams of all times.
1. The scams which are currently buzzing our phones and ears these past days are those of Hushpuppi.
The arrest of Ramon Olorunwa Abbas aka Hushpuppi has remained trending on social media for quite some weeks now. This is because more information regarding this fraud investigation just keeps surfacing.
2. Woodberry also known as MrWoodberry is also a close ally to Hushpuppi. Woodberry is known for flaunting his wealth on social media. He always captions a motivation quote or something just to tell people he got his money in a legit way through many years of hard work.
Both MrWoodberry and Hushpuppi were arrested during the clampdown in Dubai.
3. Babalola Falemi also known as Sauce Kid, was arrested while attempting to cross the UAS border back to Nigeria.
His arrest ushered him into a 2 year jail term for theft of $15k USD. He has been released and returned to Nigeria.
4. Obinwanne Okeke a 32 year old Nigerian, popularly known as Invictus Obi was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) at Dulles International Airport.
His arrest came while leaving the US over an $11 million internet fraud in 2019.
Okeke pleaded guilty to a conspiracy to commit wire fraud. His sentence will be pronounced in October 2020 and could land him up to 20 year jail term.
