The US presidential election has finally arrived, with Republican President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden going head to head.
Election night was a long and tense night but it is now set to turn into an even longer next few days as the counting is still ongoing.
Here are some of the ways celebrities have been reacting to the election news:
KAnye west who is also a last minute entry to the election wrote the following on social media.
@kanyewest Today I voted for the first time in my life for the President of the United States, and it’s for someone I truly trust…me. 🇺🇸 🕊
@iamcardib How these elections got me watching these states turn red 😒😒😒😒
Chrissy Tiegen went into stress cookingarted pouring in. when results started pouring in.
@chrissyteigen It’s insane what *our* fears are if we lose, compared to their fears if Biden wins. like we will prob all die or be handmaids and they’re worried about bathroom safety
Lady Gaga who has been a clear supporter of Joe Biden, kept encouraging and reassuring fans to vote.
@ladygaga BIDEN HARRIS 2020….Today is the last day to make your voice heard. If you don’t have a plan, go to gettothepolls.com right now, and tell all of your friends!
Jennifer Aniston casted her vote. she showed off a picture of her doing that and a sticker indicating she had voted.
She captioned her post on social media @jenniferaniston
@jenniferaniston #IVOTED for @joebiden and @kamalaharris. I dropped my ballot off, and I did it early 👏🏼 I voted for them because right now this country is more divided than ever. Right now, a few men in power are deciding what women can and can’t do with their own bodies. Our current President has decided that racism is a non-issue. He has repeatedly and publicly ignored science… too many people have died.
she went ahead urging people to make their votes count.
I urge you to really consider who is going to be most affected by this election if we stay on the track we’re on right now… your daughters, the LGBTQ+ community, our Black brothers and sisters, the elderly with health conditions, and your future kids and grandkids (who will be tasked with saving a planet that our leadership refuses to believe is hurting). ⠀
This whole thing isn’t about one candidate or one single issue, it’s about the future of this country and of the world. Vote for equal human rights, for love, and for decency. ⠀
❤️🗳⠀

She urged voters not to take this voting as a joke but to avoid voting for Kanye who might just be a distraction.
PS – It’s not funny to vote for Kanye. I don’t know how else to say it. Please be responsible 🙏🏼
