For the first time, Demi Lovato has opened up about the drug overdose she had in 2018. This happened in July 2018 when she was found unconscious at her Los Angeles home and rushed to the hospital. Demi reveals she was just a few minutes from death due to that overdose episode.
‘My doctors said that I had five to 10 more minutes,’ said Lovato in a teaser for the four-part series on Wednesday.

Demi Lovato’s upcoming Youtube documentary will premiere on March 23, 2021. In this new documentary titled “Dancing with the devil”, the 28-year-old singer has revealed the devastating effects of her 2018 drug overdose.
Demi admitted the overdose nearly left her dead. In a teaser for her documentary, she stated: “My doctors said I had five to ten minutes”.
The “Heart Attack” singer equally revealed she had ‘THREE strokes, a heart attack and now has brain damage’ as a result of that 2018 drug overdose – It is believed to be heroin.

Talking about the lingering effects this overdose left on her, both mentally and physically, Demi said,
‘I was left with brain damage, and I still deal with the effects of that today. I don’t drive a car because I have blind spots in my vision.
The heart Attack singer also went on to say , she had a hard time reading, Because her vision was blurred. She said
” it was a really big deal when I was able to read out of a book, like, two months later because my vision was so blurry.”
Near-death experiences have a way it changes people’s perspectives of life and how to deal with the aftermath. Demi has her way of dealing with it and shares it stating:
“I dealt with a lot of the repercussions and I feel like they are still there to remind me of what could happen if I ever get into a dark place again.
This episode apart, Demi Lovato is proud of the person she has become. She is happy to share her experience with the world in this documentary “Dancing with the Devil”. She stated :
“I’m so proud that people get to see it in this documentary and I couldn’t be more grateful that I had someone by my side.”
