Sometimes people feel they have to live up to the expectation of others. They feel the need to be seen as certain persons or categorized under a certain group.
Most at times, people make the mistake by showing off on the wrong front “alcohol consumption”. They will go about drinking expensive and unaffordable drinks just to make a point, just to belong.
Phyllis Thompson a successful Zambian businesswoman has a few choice words for such people. She took to her Facebook page and wrote:
Men & Women all those free rounds popping bottles on someone’s ac!! You could have used that money to start a business. Following day after HO is over u still broke!! So many of u look forward to alcohol but you don’t have the money. Wake up and be responsible. Stop blaming the economy, coz u always find money to drink or someone to drink off. Create a stable income and stop depending on others. If you can’t afford it what makes u think the next person should do it for you?? PRIORITIZE.
