More protests and vigils are held around the world in memory of George Floyd. Washington is continuously seeing demonstrations against police brutality. The protests are showing a legitimate frustration of the people. Frustrations and anger that have been piling up for several years.

A GoFundMe account was set up by the family. The initial target was to raise $1.500.000. This is aimed to raise funds to help pay for legal fees and a funeral for George. It is also to take care of George’s kids. The GoFundMe account has hit a record high. At the ime of writing, the account is at $13.400.000.

Gianna, the 6-year-old daughter of George Floyd is also receiving a personal package. Gianna has been offered full scholarship at the Texas Southern University.

The Board of Regents of Texas Southern University honours the memory of George Floyd on the day that he is laid to eternal rest,” a press release from the university states. A place is reserved for Gianna in case she ever wishes to study at the Texas Southern University.

The Popular Rapper Kanye West equally reached out to the family. He offered $2million dollars to the family and set up a college fund for the 6-year-old.

A foundation is set up “The George and Gianna Floyd Foundation“. This foundation is raised a generous $2.000.000 and counting. This foundation is to raise money for the upkeep of Gianna and the family because they have been deprived of their provider.
