Life’s journey is an everyday task and improving on a daily is a goal worth aiming at. Daily self improvement is a task to becoming someone you truly love and adore. This will in turn attract the right people and opportunities into your life.
I’m an average mother of 3, trying to improve on a daily. I am far from perfect but nothing stops me from giving it a try.
On my path to growth and self improvement as a person, I follow a couple of basic routines.
My routines will be published in different parts so that we can go in depth with the facts and possibilities.
PART 1: Be yourself.
With an established identity, i don’t try to be someone else. I focus on improving the person I already am. I have come to realize one can be a very happy person once you figure out who you truly are and where you are heading.
1.Don’t worry about how others view you.
The fear of social judgement has different shapes. It could be expressed in shyness, being prudent around others or just having a mask around people. These forms are just out to constrain or limit a person.
Those who fear the eye of society or fear to be judged, miss a lot in life. When they see others, they envisage being that other person but they don’t dare for fear of what the society would say. These sort of people pretend to be what they are not just so they don’t have to deal with what others think.
2.Have self confidence.
Never ever doubt your own abilities. If you spend your precious time and energy comparing yourself to others, you will forget your own strengths. You will limit yourself to the level of your competition.
With low self confidence and low self esteem, it is almost impossible to make time for your own dreams.
Have that self boost that gives you the mental strength to be able to break through the wall of fear and come out on the other side. Take control of your life by taking care of your self-confidence. Make concrete steps to improve your competence and your personal image. These will definitely improve your SELF-CONFIDENCE.
3.Stop the negative talk about yourself.
Some negative things you might have said to yourself:
-“I’m such a loser….
-“No one will ever love me…
-“I can never be better than….
-“I can never be good at ….
These are all negative talks we feed our minds with from time to time.
Seriously stop beating yourself up! All the negative self talk can be very detrimental to your self esteem. Learn to break this pattern of negative self talk. It may only cause you depression, weakens your productivity and make you hate yourself even more.
Learn to praise yourself for the achievements you have made. Look at how far you have come so far. That will only boost your moral.
4.Learn from your mistakes.
Sometimes, the most important life lessons we learn are from the mistakes we make. The process of learning from mistakes is only effective if we acknowledge our mistakes in the first place. Being in denial and blame shifting, does not give us the chance to learn anything from our past errors.
Not only your mistakes can be a leaning medium for you but those around you can serve as a learning platform.
“Well, we all make mistakes, so just put it behind you. We should regret our mistakes and learn from them, but never carry them forward into the future with us.”
Do not let your past drag you down. Focus on the future and make improvements so as not to make the same mistakes.
5.Focus on what you want to accomplish.
Everyone with a dream has a goal and that goal is to succeed. With goals and a direction in mind, you can easily develop an effective plan on how to achieve it.
Being Yourself doesn’t mean you have to remain at a certain point. Improvements do not stop you from being you.
With goals in mind, you will feel more in control of your circumstances and their outcomes. You will have a natural motivator and a target to aim for.
Just be you!. The world is a beautiful place because there are different types of persons in it, especially your unique self. Don’t try to be who or what you are not. It will only drain the fun life out of you.
