The TV and broadcasting world has lost a legend. Famous American television host, Larry King, is dead. The Famous TV personality Larry King died at age 87 on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021.
The very popular CNN talk show host passed away after battling the deadly Coronavirus for weeks. Larry King died at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Records Office, Los Angeles, California, United States. Larry King was hospitalized at the center at the beginning of January after contracting Covid-19.
His death was announced by Ora Media in a lengthy social media post which reads in part :
“For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry’s many thousands of interviews, awards, and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster,
The statement went on to say :
“Additionally, while it was his name appearing in the shows’ titles, Larry always viewed his interview subjects as the true stars of his programs, and himself as merely an unbiased conduit between the guest and audience.
The announcement went on to say:
“Whether he was interviewing a US president, foreign leader, celebrity, scandal-ridden personage, or an everyman, Larry liked to ask short, direct, and uncomplicated questions. He believed concise questions usually provided the best answers, and he was not wrong in that belief.”
His rolled-up shirt sleeves, suspenders, and owlish glasses will be greatly missed by millions of fans and above all, his family. Larry King is survived by his estranged seventh wife Shawn Southwick King, 61, their sons Chance King, 21, and Cannon King, 20, and his son from a previous marriage, Larry King Jr
