Pope Francis prays for victims of Kumba, (Cameroon) school shooting.

Pope Francis is the latest to react to a gruesome school shooting in Kumba in Cameroon’s South West region which left 7young children dead.

Turning his thoughts towards the long-running socio-political conflict in Cameroon, Pope Francis prayed that “the tormented regions of the north-West and south-West of Cameroon may finally find peace.”

“I hope that weapons are silenced and that the safety of all and the right of each young person to education and to a future can be guaranteed.”

Pope Francis said, as he join the host of others to react to the brutal killing of school children in Kumba in the South West region of Cameroon.

The Pope’s call adds to the condemnation of the national and international community of the shooting that left seven young (children) students dead.

The Pope also expressed his affection to the families, the city of Kumba and the whole of Cameroon, invoking upon them “the comfort that only God can give.”
