On may 27th Regis Korchinski-Paquet, fell to her death from the 24th floor of the balcony of a High Park high-rise. The family had called for police interference due to a family dispute that left Regis distressed. This all happened while police officers were inside her home.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of Ontario is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Korchinski-Paquet’s death.
The security footage has been secured by the Toronto Police. The SIU says it has interviewed all six Toronto police officers involved in this case as well as all seven witnesses.
Special Investigations Unit (SIU) announced it has yet to complete interviews with Korchinski-Paquet’s family. Korchinski-Paquet’s family cancelled their interview with the SUI after details surrounding the last moments were made public by Toronto Sun.
A funeral will be held today for 29-year-old Regis Korchinski-Paquet. The family Lawyer of Regis Korchinski-Paquet’s says they will hold a private viewing and funeral. A public memorial will take place at a future date.
