The 15 year old victim Mariama, was molested by her stepfather when she was barely 14 years old. Mariama complained to her mom (Mary) about the acts of her stepfather. But Her mom did not believe her until her baby bump become visible.

Only then did the Mary get a pregnancy test done which showed Mariama was three months pregnant. The mother Mary, then sent Mariama away to live with her grandmother.

Strange enough, the mother of young Mariama did not seek any legal help. Neither did she report to the police, all the acts of her husband against her 15 year old minor.

Mariama narrated how her stepfather always waited for her mum to go out to her early business and the step father would stay behind and take advantage of her.

Mary Chuluty usually goes sell early in the morning about 4:30-5:00am leaving Mariama and her brother with Johnson Chuluty at home who would send the brother away and then take advantage of Mariama.

Reports says the stepfather, Johnson Chuluty has been arrested. Mr Johnson has admitted he had sex with his step daughter several times which resulted to pregnancy. Before his arrest, mr Johnson had been in hiding from December 2018 up to June 2020 when he was arrested.

Mr Johnson is being charged with rape. He is currently at the Monrovia Central prison in Liberia, awaiting Court trial.
