Last night’s Oscars ceremony took an extremely unexpected turn when Best Actor winner for best documentary, Will Smith, took offense at an inappropriate joke Chris Rock made about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. The commedian, Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith and her lack of hair.

Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith being in “G.I. Jane” because of her bald head. Will Smith seemed to smile at Rock’s joke, while Pinkett Smith intensely rolled her eyes.

Jada has spoken openly about having a hair loss condition, called alopecia.

Will Smith went on stage, slapped Rock, and went back to his seat, then screamed twice at the top of his lungs “KEEP MY WIFE’S NAME OUT OF YOUR F-NG MOUTH.”

Will smith went ahead and won the Oscar for his documentary. During his acceptance speech, Will Smith apologized for the altercation in his speech when accepting his Oscar for King Richard.

“I know to do what we do, you gotta be able to take abuse,” he said. “You gotta be able to have people disrespecting you, and you gotta smile and you gotta pretend like that’s okay.… I look like the crazy father, just like they said.… Love will make you do crazy things.”
