The African Queen singer, Innocent Idibia has been appointed as the new United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) ambassador.

As a Goodwill Ambassador  he will advocate for a specific cause or global issues on the basis of their notability as a public figure.

The United Nations Official handle made an announcement on their instagram page which read;

 “We are so excited to share the news that@official2baba has been appointed @refugees Goodwill Ambassador!“

“2Baba, your steadfast commitment for refugees and internally displaced people is remarkable and we are excited to continue this journey with you! Thank you for uplifting the narrative of the African refugee and IDPs.

Tuface Idibia also took to his instagram page, he announced his appointment.

His Instagram post was as follows:

“I am honored and humbled by my new appointment as a regional goodwill ambassador of UNHCR

He continued by expressing his gratitude for the recognition and his new appointment.

His beautiful wife Annie Idibia could not hold back expressing her joy at his now role. Annie too took to instagram as she wrote :
