Every time a creepy person utter those words or makes those advances to anyone, chills are sent down the spine. It becomes very frustrating for anyone to continue in that kind of environment.

Young girls and boys, matured men and women do encounter these harassments on a daily. It could either be at the workplace or on the streets or even at home. It could be from a younger or older person. Each time these advances are made and nothing is done about it, the victims feel even less empowered to stand for themselves. Meanwhile, the perpetrator feels even more empowered to do the act again and again to another victim.

Effects Of Sexual Harassments.

Taking a second to grab an individual on their butt or just uttering those words about their breasts or lips or any bodily part, is something we may think ends in seconds.

No it doesn’t.

These girls walk around with these experiences in their heads for a lifetime.

They become less confident about their bodies.

Their self esteem levels drop drastically and extensively.

How to Handle Sexual Harassment.

Talk to someone reliable. Someone who can actually help the situation and make the perpetrator accountable for his/her act.

Protect yourself if you are able to identify these acts coming your way.

Do not approach known sexual harassment persons. Keep away from such persons because there is a likelihood of them repeating their act.

Change jobs if you have to. Do not remain in a toxic environment, feeling down each time you walk in there. Instead change jobs if you feel sexually intimidated at your current job.

Take control of your life and learn to stand firm. Learn ways to protect yourself from these harassments which might end up ruining your life entirely.
