Don’t come back, South Africans threaten Super Eagles goalkeeper Nwabali

Stanley Nwabali is the Super Eagles goalkeeper who equally plays for Chippa United in South Africa. He has reportedly received threats from South African fans following his standout performance against the South African team during the AFCON 2024. The South African fans reportedly warned him against returning to his club after the AFCON. The fans have explicitly warned Nwabali against returning to his club after the conclusion of AFCON.

 While speaking on Channels Television on Thursday, former Super Eagles international, Idah Peterside revealed these threats, stating that some fans have warned Nwabali not to return to Chippa United, in South Africa after the AFCON games.  It’s alleged that some South Africans are displeased with Nwabali’s role in preventing their team from reaching the finals.

Nwabali did excellently well during the semi-final match on Wednesday against the Bafana Bafana. He stopped two penalties during the shootout and had multiple saves during the regular match.
