Nollywood mourns Ernest Asuzu. Ernest Asuzu dies at 37 after battling with stroke for years, has died. The actor came down with a stroke in 2015 which affected his speech. This got the 37-year-old actor bedridden for three years, eventually affecting his career.

Ernest Asuzu originated from Imo state. He was raised in Lagos where he completed both his primary and secondary education.

Asuzu rose to fame in the 1990s after starring in the Nollywood blockbuster ‘Another Campus Queen.’ He has stared in several movies alongside Nollywood’s finest like Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Emeka Ike, and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde.

During his acting career, he featured in as many as 150 Nollywood movies. Apart from acting, he was also a musician with the name El Cream.

After taking a break for 8years, Ernest Asuzu was planning on returning to the big screens just before he fell sick, which led to his death.

His wife Jennifer Asuzu confirmed to the media, the actor slumped on Tuesday evening and never woke up.

Ernest Asuzu is survived by his wife, Jennifer Asuzu and two children.
